The news from Noyo is that salmon boats are side-tied three and four abreast in the Harbor right now:
Highliners are landing more than a hundred fish for a three-day trip, giving a boost to morale, prime cuisine, and the local economy.
Fresh salmon is flying off the docks at about eight dollars a pound, five dollars and up from the commercial buyers.
It feels like the good old days, with the salmon fleet from up and down West Coast tied up and resting, after some good days of hard work.
Sloppy ocean conditions should settle out soon, for another go at what is turning out to be an epic run.
